As part of our commitment to early music, Te Deum often performs chant as part of our Antiqua series performances. Since 2020, Te Deum has also performed Vespers concerts as a free public offering, providing the community with a thoughtful, researched, and detailed presentation of this ancient music.
The next Vespers concert will be Sunday, March 13th at 5:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church (map).
A group of Tenors and Basses from Te Deum will offer a 40-minute prayer service fully chanted in Latin. “Vespers” offers both an ancient look at the practice of Christian Monks as well as a modern opportunity to experience chant in contemplative silence.
