Chanted Vespers for Lent

Vespers is a prayer service of the day in the Church’s ancient prayer cycle. A group of Tenors and Basses from Te Deum will offer this 40-minute prayer service fully chanted in Latin. “Vespers” offers both an ancient look at the practice of Christian Monks as well as a modern opportunity to experience the serenity and spirituality of chant.

Always eager to share his passion and knowledge of chant performance, Matthew Christopher Shepard has invited the professional liturgical choir, Schola Cantorum, from the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception to join Te Deum for this presentation.

Vespers is a FREE offering to the public.
